Detailed Itinerary
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh Airport by morning flight, you will be welcomed by our friendly tour guide then accompany you to the hotel.
The capital city of Phnom Penh was once considered the loveliest city of Indochina. Despite its recent turbulent history, it still maintains considerable charm. A city tour acquaints us with some major sights of Phnom Penh.
This morning I started to visit Wat Phnom (rebuilt in 1434, 1806, 1894 and 1926), a small hill crowned by an active Wat Pagoda which marks the legendary founding place of Phnom Penh.
In the afternoon, visit the National Museum, it was built in 1917 and designed in Khmer style by famed French architect Georges Groslier & Ecole Des Arts. The museum has a good collection of Khmer sculptures dating the pre-Angkor period (4th centuries) to post-Angkor period (14th centuries).
Then visit Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, Silver Pagoda, Located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles.
When you exit the Royal Palaces, continue your visit to the riverfront, it is the most popular place for tourists. The view of the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap River is geographically unique.

South Gate of Angkor Thom known as Big Angkor. This is one of the five main gates into ancient Angkor Thom. It is approached outside via a causeway that extends about fifty meters across a moat. Explore the Terrace of the Elephants which is part of the walled city of Angkor Thom, a ruined temple complex in Cambodia. The terrace was used by Angkor's king Jayavarman VII as a platform which to view his victorious returning army. This destination is an impressive, two and a half meter tall, 300 meter long terrace wall adorned with carved elephants and gradual that spans the heart of Angkor Thom in front of Baphuon - huge temple mountain in the heart of Angkor Thom, Royal Palace Area and Phimeanakas - impressive rite and sandstone pyramid. Then explore Ta Prohm temple which is known for the huge trees and the massive roots growing out of its walls. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Angkor Wat temple which was built in the first half of the 12th century. Angkor Wat is a miniature replica of the universe in stone and represents an earthly model of the cosmic world. It is a richly decorated, very large temple; the total temple area including the moat measures 1.5 kilometers long by 1.3 kilometers wide, or a total of about 2 square kilometers. Angkor Wat is the biggest Hindu temple in Cambodia. The temple is an object of pride for Cambodia, its depiction appears on the national flag. Then admire the romantic sunset view at Pre Rup temple.

Departure by private car with a guide to visit Kampong Khleang is located on the northern lake-edge about 55 km east of Siem Reap town, more remote and less touristy than Kampong Phluk. Visitors to Kampong Khleang during the dry season are universally awestruck by the forest of stilted houses rising up to 10 meters in the air.
In the wet season the waters rise up to one or two meters of the buildings. Like Kompong Pluk, Kompong Khleang is a permanent community within the floodplain of the Lake, with an economy based in fishing and surrounded by flooded forest. But Kompong Khleang is significantly larger with nearly 10 times the population of Kompong Phluk, making it the largest community on the Lake.
Free for your own leisure until transfer to Siem Reap international airport 2 hours before departure.
