Detailed Itinerary
Your Cambodia adventure begins with your arrival in Phnom Penh. Your private driver will meet you at the airport, holding a signboard with your name. He will escort you to your accommodation, where you could have a rest after the flight.
Overnight in Phnom Penh
Breakfast at a hotel. Drive to visit the “Killing Fields” of Choeung Ek (15 km south of Phnom Penh). Between 1975 and 1978 about 17,000 men, women, children and infants (including nine westerners) were detained and tortured at the S-21 prison and transported to the extermination camp of Choeung Ek and followed by visiting Independence monument for photo shooting and Psa Thmey market. Afternoon, visit Tuol Sleng Museum (S-21 prison). This former school was used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces. More than 17,000 people held at S-21 were taken to the extermination camp at Choeung Ek to be executed. Then Visit Russian Market (Toul Tompong Market), the Market has gained a reputation for cheap clothing, a large selection of Buddha images and wood carvings, betel-nut boxes, silk, silver jewelry, and classical music instruments.

Breakfast at the hotel - Visit the National Museum, over 5000 objects are on display including Angkorian era statu, lingas and other artifacts. The Royal Palace is a royal residence now where His Majesty, the King of Cambodia, and the royal families live. It is like a small town of royal dynasties. Continued to Silver Pagoda, serves less as a functioning temple than a repository for cultural treasures such as 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds. Finally, visit Wat Phnom Temple, one of the most important pagodas in Phnom Penh. Built in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Daun Chi Penh. Enjoy Sunset Cruise on the Tonle Sap and Mekong Rivers in Phnom Penh, it bursts into 4 branches.

Breakfast at the hotel. Pick up at your hotel and depart for Battambang by overland transfer (290 km. 4-5 hrs drive). Stop at the Silversmith village, see the pottery manufacturers in Kampong Chhnang and visit a fish market. Arrive in Battambang, and check-in at the hotel. Walk through the town to discover its beautiful colonial architecture and followed by the central market of Battambang – Psanat. The same afternoon, we are also enjoying the bamboo train village with a great experience of sliding on this funny train at Oudombong Village.

Breakfast at the hotel: Drive along the picturesque Sangker River to Wat Slaket Pagoda, the residence of the provincial Buddhist patriarch Continue to visit Wat Ek Phnom. Visit a market where Prahok, the Cambodian fish paste, is made. Afternoon, drive to Phnom Sampeau Mountain, steeped in legend, and topped by Wat Sampeou and a group of caves used as ‘killing caves’ by the Khmer Rouge, containing the skeletal remains of their victims. We will also visit natural caves including spectacular. We wait approximately 5-10 minutes for millions of bats to emerge their cave before returning to Battambang town for freshening up.

Breakfast at the hotel – Transfer overland to Siem Reap, which takes around 3 hours. Upon arrival, check in the hotel. Afternoon, we continued to visit Artisan D’Angkor, a handicraft center, the Handicraft center for the wood and stone carving processes. Continued visit to Wat Thmey or Killing Field, contains a unique glass-walled stupa containing the bones of victims of the Khmer Rouge.

Breakfast at the hotel - Heading out of town we make our way by traveling on a newly paved road to the intricately carved and well preserved temple of Banteay Srei. Along the way we make a stopover at the Preah Dark village and we follow these with a visit to the Banteay Samre Temple adorned with impressive relief depicting scenes of Vishunu as well as Krishna legends. Afternoon, Visit Angkor Wat, the largest temples in the world and covers an area of 200 hectares and is surrounded by a moat and an exterior wall measuring 1300 meters x 1500 meters.

Breakfast at a hotel. Visit Angkor Thom, the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, built the late 12th century to the early 13th century by King Jayavarman VII and consists of 54 towers, the Royal Enclosure, the Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King, then Visit Preah Khan temple, built by King Jayavarman VII dedicated to his father. It is a huge, highly exportable monastic complex, and served as a Buddhist monastery and school, engaging over 1000 monks. Afternoon, visiting the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature and followed by sunset on top of Phnom Bakheng.

Breakfast at the hotel We leave the city behind and travel to Chansar, a local village, and firstly enjoy an ox-cart ride around the village before hearing a local family about the process of broom-making. There’s a chance to have a go yourself before a guided walking tour to take in the experience and culture of this rural way of life. You can try out fishing and farming as the locals do, too. Proceeds this tour will go directly to the community to improve the lives of the residents. We will chat to the locals over a simple yet delicious lunch before traveling back to Siem Reap. There’s a chance to stop off at a local temple en-route to the hotel and receive a colorful blessing a Buddhist monk.
Overnight in Siem Reap
Breakfast at the hotel - Tonle sap where we will enjoy a boat ride (private boat and guide) on the Tonle Sap lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen's "floating village" with floating schools, a floating police station, etc. It is the same as a big village floating on the lake, and the "village" moves place to place following water levels and currents.
Transfer back to the hotel and take your own leisure time.
