Overnight in Phnom Penh
After breakfast, you will start the day learning about the Khmer Rouge and Cambodia’s recent history on a guided tour of the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the notorious Choeung Ek “Killing Fields.” Then your cultural tour continues as we visit the National Museum - an introduction deeper into ancient Khmer art and civilization and the Royal Palace, home to the royal family and the opulent silver pagoda.
Overnight in Phnom Penh
Today you will leave the bustle of the big city and be escorted through Cambodia’s beautiful countryside and largest rubber-producing region on your way to Kampong Cham. You will explore this quaint colonial town and see the Wat Nokor Pagoda, which is an 11th century Mahayana Buddhist shrine and home to a large reclining Buddha. Then you will continue to Kampong Thom and stop along the way at Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei. On arrival in Kampong Thom, you will check into your hotel around lunchtime. In the late afternoon, you will enjoy a pleasant walking tour through some nearby villages and climbing the 980 steps to the top of Phnom Santuk for a superb sunset view.
Overnight in Kampong Cham
The whole morning will be devoted to visiting Sambor Prei Kuk, whose main temples are divided into three complexes, all dedicated to Shiva. Enjoy the serene atmosphere as you wander through these 7th century brick monuments, artfully scattered around the jungle. In the afternoon, a 3-hour drive will take you to Siem Reap, the gateway into the legendary Angkor temples.
Overnight in Siem Reap
Get up earlier this morning since you will be escorted to admire the marvelous sunrise over Angkor Wat. Your guide will find you a good place to enjoy and shoot this grand scene. Later, you will travel through this temple, an architectural masterpiece of the world. After breakfast in the hotel, you will follow your guide to explore Angkor Thom, the capital city of Khmer Empire. The mysterious Khmer smile of Bayon Temple, the exquisite carvings and sculptures of the Terrace of Elephants and the Terrace of Leper King will amaze you.
Leaving the city, you will continue to explore the nearby Angkorian sites, including Takeo Temple and Ta Prohm Temple with the famous Tomb Raider tree.
Overnight in Siem Reap
Today your guided tour will start with the bright Banteay Srei Temple, built of red sandstones, famed for fine sculptures and reliefs. On the way back, we will visit Preah Khan Temple. After lunch, you will enjoy a cruise on the Tonle Sap Lake to visit some floating villages, followed by sightseeing at the Angkor Archaeological Park, a large-scale ruin of the Khmer Empire. After that, you will go to the highest site of Siem Reap on Phnom Krohm Mountain to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

In the afternoon, you will be escorted back to Siem Reap, stopping en route to visit the remote and jungle-covered Beng Mealea Temple.
Today you will travel by car to Battambang, Cambodia’s second- largest city. On arrival in the afternoon, you will check into your hotel and then enjoy a walking tour through the city’s bustling boulevards lined with quaint French colonial buildings.
