What To Expect

Experience the cultural richness of Vientiane as you explore landmarks like Wat Si Saket and the iconic Patuxai Victory Monument. In Vang Vieng, brace yourself for thrilling adventures like tubing along the Nam Song River and exploring limestone caves. Conclude your journey in Luang Prabang, where you'll witness alms-giving ceremonies, visit sacred temples like Wat Xiang Thong, and marvel at the breathtaking Kuang Si Falls.

Welcome to Vientiane. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport and then escort you to your hotel for check-in.

Overnight in VIENTIANE.

After breakfast, we start visiting the major sights of the capital; including Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. En route to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph.

Afternoon, transfer out to visit Buddha Park with thousands of Buddha Statues inspired by Hindu culture. On the way back, we visit the Lao Textile Museum to learn more about the Lao handicraft textiles and then we drive 1,5 hours on the highway to Vang Vieng. Upon arriving we then checked into a hotel and relaxed.

Overnight in VANG VIENG.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today we cross the bridge to visit Tham Jang Cave (Dried Caves) and Blue Lagoon 1-2. And go boat riding on the Namsong River for sightseeing and then free until we take an express train to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, we then checked into the hotel and relaxed in leisure time.

Overnight in LUANG PRABANG.

After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing Wat Mai and the National Museum at the former Royal Palace displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign.

Continue to the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’ many ethnic cultures and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a panoramic view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.

Along the way, we stop at the small village of Ban Xang Hai, where the local rice wine is distilled. We come back city in the afternoon and then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River. The tour ends after a visit to the famous Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Overnight in LUANG PRABANG.

An early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Today we drive to visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou a Laoloum village, and Ban Thapene, a Khmu village. This then takes us to the beautiful Khuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. We then return to the town and drop you off at the airport to take a flight back home.
